Can you tell me why my shrubs have gone from green to brown over the past seven days? Do they need to be removed? – Philip Macpherson, by email The conifers in the picture you sent me are suffering from drought. Water them well and trim the brown patches lightly. Our Photinia Red Robin developed leaf spot. We removed the dead leaves and treated it with fungicide but it is now lopsided with no new buds. Will it recover? – Colin Scott, by email Water and feed it then in April trim it back to a more balanced shape and it should bounce back.
