PENICUIK are still the only side in the league with a 100% record after beating CAMELON 2-1. The Mariners held a half-time lead through a Jackson Cowan penalty, but Penicuik took advantage of a red card issued to Gary Mochrie to level through Paul Tansey from the resultant free-kick, then a powerful header from Darren Young late on preserved Cuikie’s record.

BROXBURN and CROSSGATES both finished with 10 men as they served up a five-goal thriller which Broxburn edged by the odd goal. Ross Allum gave the hosts an early lead, but Crossgates hit back through Lewis Sawers in 12 minutes. Darren Aitken gave the Fifers the lead in 41 minutes, but Broxburn equalised in 65 minutes, then Cammie Ross netted a penalty winner.

Two late goals earned DUNDONALD a share of the points in a 2-2 draw with SAUCHIE. Mark Finlayson gave Sauchie the lead in the first minute and, despite having Terry Hewitt sent off, Danny Smith doubled their lead from a penalty in 84 minutes. But they were shocked when Chris Gay’s two late strikes for the hosts took the wind out of their sails.

LINLITHGOW ROSE beat DUNBAR 5-1. Two goals from Alan Docherty put Rose in command at halftime and Tommy Coyne made it three in 51 minutes. Dunbar pulled one back through Johnny Edmond, but Garry Thom and a penalty from Coyne made sure the points would stay at home.

HILL OF BEATH’S revival continued with a 2-1 win at MUSSELBURGH. Callum Adamson opened for the Haws in 31 minutes and he added a second on the hour mark. The hosts pulled one back through Brad Whyte in 63 minutes, but they couldn’t force an equaliser.

Jamie Docherty netted two and also missed a penalty in TRANENT’S 5-0 win over BLACKBURN UNITED. The other Tranent scorers were Sean Wringe, Kyle Lander and an own goal.

LOTHIAN THISTLE were 2-0 winners at NEWTONGRANGE with the opener coming from a penalty in 23 minutes. The clincher came from a second half Webb own goal.
