Heavy role for actor
Colin Farrell has told how he put on three stone in weight and spent four weeks in the Arctic filming his latest drama.
The Irish actor will appear on screen almost unrecognisable as bloodthirsty whaler Henry Drax in dark drama The North Water, which has been tipped as a must-see by critics. Farrell, 45, said of his violent man-mountain character: “It’s not hard to put weight on if you eat more.”
The five-parter begins on BBC2 in the autumn.
