Garden of the week
At just two acres in size, Branklyn Garden in Perth is one of the National Trust For Scotland’s smallest gardens – but it is also one of its treasures.
This south-facing site above the River Tay is packed with beautiful plants and alpine species that have been grown to perfection. The garden was created in the 1920s by a pair of avid plant enthusiasts who had links to some of the great plant collectors of the day and their collection of trees, shrubs and flowers includes a number of rarities.
