HAWICK took the lead against PENICUIK in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup through a Lewis Swaney penalty, but Penicuik hit double figures for an 11-2 victory despite having Robert Watt sent off. Nicky Reid scored a first-half hat-trick for Cuikie, with Cammy Dawson adding a double. Their other goals came from Robbie Neave, Reece Hope, Paul Tansey, Darrel Young, Jack Furness and Aaron Sommervill­e. Hawick’s other counter was netted by Hagan Steele.

NEWTONGRAN­GE STAR were outgunned 4-0 by CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS, thanks to strikes from Gibson, Balde, Faye and Kosakov.

Brandon Luke gave HILL OF BEATH the lead over SAUCHIE in the Challenge Cup, but the visitors levelled through a 30th-minute penalty, then scored a winner just on the final whistle in extra time.

LINLITHGOW ROSE are also through after coming from behind to beat EAST STIRLING 2-1. The hosts took the lead in 13 minutes, but Rose hit back with an equaliser from Jack Ogilvie in 78 minutes and Allan Docherty grabbed the winner four minutes later.

A Gordon Harris penalty two minutes from time gave HADDINGTON a 2-1 win over DUNBAR UNITED. Earlier Gabri Auriemma gave Haddington the lead in four minutes, but Johnny Edmond levelled half-anhour later.

DUNDONALD BLUEBELL came from behind to beat BELLSHILL ATHLETIC 5-2. Jordan Moore gave the home side the lead in 10 minutes, only for Stephen Husband to level in 29 minutes. Murray Loudon regained the lead for Bellshill soon after, but the Bluebells raced clear after Lewis Mckenzie netted a double, and Chris Gay and Ross Drummond added two more.

In the Premier League, INVERKEITH­ING and BROXBURN fought out a 2-2 draw. Joe Tait gave Broxburn the lead in four minutes, but the hosts levelled then took the lead in 20 minutes. But Broxburn made sure they didn’t go away empty-handed when Gary Brass equalised just after the break.

JEANFIELD score a hattrick of penalties in their 4-2 win at CROSSGATES, with Cammy Muirhead scoring both goals for the Fifers, who also had Andy Mcdonald red-carded.
