Strictly judge questions anti-vaxxers as couples hit the floor for the first time

-

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has said he is baffled by people who choose not to be vaccinated against Covid.

The BBC show’s pro-celebrity couples hit the floor for the first time last night as reports claim three of the professional dancers have refused to be vaccinated.

Revel Horwood said he knew nothing about the claims but told The Times: “If I came into a situation certainly when I am doing panto, for instance, I am hoping everyone has had a vaccination that I’m performing with on stage because that will make me feel safer.

“The NHS is bringing in things to say that you really have to be vaccinated. I mean, it’s like the malaria vaccination. Would you not have it and just go and die of malaria?

“This is no different a vaccine to the flu or anything, and why people are up in arms about it I have no idea. I think it’s ridiculous. I do know someone that is refusing to have it and that drives me nuts.”

The BBC said it is not the case that dancers or celebrity contestants have threatened to quit the dancing competition over the vaccination row, or have raised concerns.
