If things had been different, we could be talking about a One Direction earworm. X Factor producers approached Chris Martin about writing their winner’s song. Paradise was his response. But Coldplay drummer Will Champion insisted the band kept it for themselves... and future chart-toppers One D lost out to Matt Cardle in the show’s 2010 final. Paradise did get its big TV moment: the Super Bowl Halftime show in 2016.
