Dumfries curler Ross Whyte and his team stayed on course for back-to-back Canadian titles after extending their winning streak to 10 games at the Okotoks Classic in Alberta.
The world silver medallist and his colleagues Euan Kyle, Duncan Mcfadzean and Robin Brydone won last week’s Fall Classic in Ontario, and that momentum has been maintained in Alberta.
Two narrow victories were followed by a 6-1 thrashing of British Columbia’s Tyler Tardi – thanks to threes at the second and fourth ends – as the Scots eased through to the play-offs.
