Ewan Meldrum: An apology

On September 12, we reported the death of Ewan Meldrum, 24, and how his family believe addiction and mental health services failed him in the months and years before he died.

In picture captions attached to the report online, we claimed Mr Meldrum had taken his own life but, in fact, the cause of his death is yet to be determined.

We apologise to Mr Meldrum’s family and friends for the distress caused by our error.
