Refund is just the ticket for sisters

-

Jacqueline Fleming is feeling flush after Raw Deal helped secure her a refund of £586 for a birthday treat that was cancelled.

Last year, her sister bought five tickets for two live shows in London. The deal included meals at Boisdale restaurant and music venue in upmarket Belgravia.

The trip, scheduled for earlier this year, was organised to celebrate Jacqueline’s 50th birthday.

However, the sisters were disappointed when both the concerts and the meals were postponed last December due to new lockdown restrictions in the capital.

The venue did not reopen until May this year and the live music shows were moved to another Boisdale venue at Canary Wharf.

“The whole deal was nothing like what we originally booked,” said Jacqueline, from East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.

“We tried to reschedule but my father then died, so we weren’t able to do anything then or for months afterwards.

“There are now no shows we can attend by the artists we wanted or in the venue we originally booked.”

Jacqueline said she and her sister asked twice for a full refund of £586.50 but were told that this wouldn’t be possible.

In frustration, she wrote to Raw Deal for help – and it wasn’t long before she was offered her cash back.

Boisdale said: “We have contacted Ms Fleming for her card details, and we will be issuing a refund for the tickets.”

Jacqueline said she was grateful to Raw Deal for stepping in.

She added: “Thank you so much for resolving this issue.”
