In Vogue? C’est la guerre
Vogue Paris could lose its soul as boss Anna Wintour infuses American woke values into the famous magazine in an attempt to boost its falling circulation, insiders have claimed.
Wintour, 71, is global chief content officer for Vogue’s parent company, Conde Nast.
The London-born editor has been accused of crushing the Parisian spirit by streamlining global editions of the fashion bible, including dropping the name of the French capital from its cover.
“Vogue has erased Paris from the map,” the newspaper Le Figaro said. It accused Wintour of using the reorganisation of the Conde Nast magazine empire to rein in the independence of the Paris edition.
