Vale in cruise mode against luckless Lossie

-

In the Highland League at DEVERONVALE, a handball saw Ryan Sewell’s goal chopped off for LOSSIEMOUTH and little was to go Lossie’s way for the rest of the game, losing 6-0.

Matty Jamieson rattled in a Ross Aitken cutback and the right-back provided a second assist before the break, Dane Ballard scoring.

Michael Watson rolled in a third before Jamieson doubled his personal tally with a well-placed shot. Ryan Farquhar saw red before Innes Mackay bundled home the fifth. Ballard grabbed a brace by diverting Rory Davidson’s shot late on.

When Luke Kinsella fired home TURRIFF UNITED’S opener, there was a sense of foreboding for FORT WILLIAM, but Mateusz Kulbacki’s penalty save on the half-hour, denying Matty Mcdonald, kept Fort in the match. Four minutes into the second half, Fort levelled as Connor Moore, introduced at the break, made his mark.

Mcdonald was to redeem himself, restoring Turra’s lead before being replaced by veteran Jamie Lennox, who added a third. Moore netted a late consolation.

RANGERS B picked up another three Lowland League points with a 3-1 win over CALEDONIAN BRAVES.

In the 19th minute, Rangers’ Julian Lindsay was brought down in the box and Juan Alegria shot hard and low past Chris Hendry to put his side 1-0 ahead.

The Braves suffered a blow when Cameron Breadner was red-carded for a late challenge on Charlie Mccann.

The Braves came out strongly in the second half and, in the 49th minute, they equalised when Jack Duncan headed home a corner.

It was the 83rd minute before Gers went ahead again when Ross Mccausland broke through and shot through a ruck of players.

Rangers got another penalty in the dying minutes after RitchieHosler was brought down in the penalty area and Alex Lowry made no mistake from the spot-kick.

EDINBURGH UNI got three vital points when they beat pointless VALE OF LEITHEN 3-0 with goals from Ben Spielman (2) and Innes

Lawson.
