Penfolds Koonunga Hill Chardonnay, Australia, £10.50, currently £8.50, Morrisons

A great old favourite Chardonnay – with its delicious ripe fruit and subtle oak it’s not surprising.

Zuccardi Valles Bonarda, Argentina, £14.25, Vino Edinburgh and vinowines.co.uk

Look out for Bonarda from Argentina and Zuccardi – crowned the world’s best vineyard. This is packed with chewy black cherry fruit and balanced tannins. Maschio Prosecco DOC Extra Dry, Italy, £10, currently £7.50, Sainsbury’s This Prosecco has a touch of sweetness so would pair well with the sweetness in the muffins for the ultimate teatime treat! Lovely, fresh, crisp apple characters too.
