PENICUIK are now four points clear at the top of the table after a hard-fought 1-0 win at DUNBAR. There was never much between the sides until Nicky Reid scored the only goal for Cuikie five minutes after the interval.

Liam Mccathie was the NEWTONGRAN­GE star man with a string of fine saves to deny LINLITHGOW ROSE, including a penalty save. However, he had no chance with Alan Docherty’s strike after 40 minutes – and it proved to be the visitors winner.

MUSSELBURG­H were 4-1 winners over BLACKBURN UNITED, with Mathu King giving them the lead in 11 minutes. Blackburn hit back through a Michael Browne penalty two minutes later, but King struck again from a penalty in 24 minutes, then completed his hattrick in 32 minutes. Aaron Murrell then made it 4-1 with the third penalty of the match with four minutes to go.

ANDREWS twice fought back to earn a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Guy Mcgarry gave the hosts the lead in 41 minutes, but Callum Mcaulay levelled on the stroke of half-time. Mcgarry looked like he had scored the winner with four minutes to go, but the visitors equalised for a second time through Matthew Hutchison in the final minute.

ARNISTON RANGERS and ORMISTON served up a 3-3 draw and a draw was about right. Ryan Moore gave Arniston the lead in 23 minutes, but the visitors hit back through Ben Pritchett in 32 minutes. Chris Hogg then gave Ormiston the lead, and they added another through Reece Cochrane. A late fightback from the home side saw Moore pull one back from a penalty, then Stephen Anderson fired home the equaliser.

In the Qualifying Cup, BROXBURN are out after suffering a shock 1-0 home defeat from UNIVERSITY OF STIRLING. It looked like ending in a stalemate, but, with 13 minutes to go, Ben Mcivor-redwood grabbed

a winner.
