keeper on 31 minutes when he let an Anton Brady shot squirm through his hands and into the net.

Two minutes later, it was 3-1 when Anton Sonkur headed home. Sonkur was concussed in the process of scoring and had to be subbed.

By being deemed a concussion sub, this meant that Stranraer were allowed six changes in the game.

Immediately after the restart, The Blues were to extend their lead from the penalty spot after Broque Watson was tripped by Adam Corbett as the striker latched on to a poor passback by Cammy Graham.

Ex-warrior Tam Muir stepped up to take the kick and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 4-1.

COWDENBEATH 1 STIRLING ALBION 0

Bottom side Cowdenbeath stunned promotion-chasing Stirling Albion with a single-goal victory.

Albion threatened in the very first minute when home keeper Cammy Gill made a fingertip save from Dale Carrick’s header.

Three minutes later, at the other end, Cowden’s Craig Thomson saw Stirling’s Blair Currie hold a fierce 18-yard effort.

In 13 minutes, Stirling’s Ross Mcgeachie sent over a cross which the swirling wind carried towards the Cowdenbeath goal, but Gill came to the rescue for the home side by punching the ball out for a throw.

However, four minutes later, Cowden missed a gilt-edged chance when Bobby Barr’s left-wing cross found Harvey Swann only seven yards out with Currie to beat, but he fired over.

On 26 minutes, after a good home move down the right side of the park, Fraser Mullen’s 10-yard shot came down off the underside of the visitors’ crossbar.

Cowdenbeath grabbed the lead three minutes into the second half when the Albion defence failed to clear a corner and Mullen was lying handy to hook the ball in to the net from eight yards out.

Cowden created other chances, with Craig Barr and Thomson both going close.

The visitors had a chance when substitute Daniel Scally got space in the home box, but Gill saved well from his angled shot.
