Grady grabs a double as Brechin win

After a goalless first half, BRECHIN CITY ran riot in the second period against JEANFIELD with Grady Mcgrath scoring a double in their 5-1 win.

City’s other scorers were Euan Spark, Anthony Mcdonald and Jordan Northcott with Jeanfield’s counter coming courtesy of an own goal.

LOCHEE UNITED made the long trip up to Caithness but it looked a worthwhile journey when Logan Davie put them in front halfway through the first half. Jack Halliday levelled the scores in the 35th minute then Sean Campbell put WICK ACADEMY ahead for the first time. Mark Macadie made it three goals in 10 minutes. Gordon Macnab’s penalty made it four then Wick went nap through Mark Munro.

ROTHES lost out to CARNOUSTIE. The Gowfers took the lead through Gordon Mcdonald 10 minutes after the start and Dale Reid added a double before the north side pulled a goal back through Steven Mckay in 32 minutes.

HILL OF BEATH are also through after coming from behind to beat INVERURIE LOCOS 3-1. Mark Souter gave the north side the lead on 20 minutes but the Haws responded quickly through Calum Adamson. Ross Allum gave them an interval lead then Jonny Galloway made it three after the north side had Wood red-carded.

DUNBAR clinched a spot in the second round with an extra time winner against INVERNESS CLACHNACUD­DIN.

The visitors scorers were Paul Brindle and Ally Riddle in normal time with Bob Berry and Cammy Dawson netting for Dunbar and Adam Congalton scored the extratime winner in a 3-2 victory for the home side.

A 93rd-minute winner secured a 2-1 win for LINLITHGOW ROSE over BERWICK RANGERS. Connor Mcmullan gave Rose the lead on 16 minutes with Berwick levelling through David Ferguson with 15 minutes to go but Connor Mckenzie grabbed a late winner for the hosts.
