LINLITHGOW ROSE strengthen­ed their position at the top of the Premier League with a Sean Heaver hat-trick helping them on their way to a 4-1 win over CROSSGATES. Mark Stowe opened the scoring for Rose from a penalty, with Scott Lawrie netting a consolatio­n for the Fifers.

PENICUIK slipped up with their second defeat of the season at Broxburn, where they lost 2-1. Andrew Gillen gave Broxburn the lead after half-an-hour and Errol Douglas stroked home a second on 53 minutes. Gregor Mcdonald pulled one back on 78 minutes, but they couldn’t force an equaliser.

DUNDONALD BLUEBELL were in top form and ran out comfortabl­e 3-0 winners over TYNECASTLE. Regan Lumsden opened the scoring from a free-kick after two minutes, then Barry Sibanda made it two before half-time, with Daryl Healy adding a third in the second half.

HILL OF BEATH were in rampant form against BLACKBURN UNITED, with Lewis Payne netting a hat-trick in their 6-1 victory. Ross Allum, Ryan Connelly and an own goal were the other Haws scorers, with Marcus Millar netting for the visitors in time-added.

HADDINGTON found it tough going against

JEANFIELD, with the Perth side fully deserving their 4-1 victory. Swifts were three ahead after 20 minutes through a double from Chris Mcleish and another from Gary Fergus. Chris Dodds made it four on 52

minutes, with Haddington’s consolatio­n scored by Robbie Peffers with five minutes to go.

OAKLEY picked up their first three points of the season with 3-1 success over fellow-strugglers VALE OF LEITHEN. Goals from Johnny Harrison and Scott Bruce put Oakley in the driving seat at half-time and, although the home side pulled one back, Mark Mooney added a third for the Fifers on the final whistle.

MUSSELBURG­H beat 10-man SAUCHIE 2-0 with both goals coming in the second half. Russel Courts gave the hosts the lead on 64 minutes and, after Sauchie had a player sent off in 77 minutes, Russel Cairns added a second in time-added.

First Division leaders NEWTONGRAN­GE STAR were held to a 1-1 draw at GLENROTHES, with the Fifers equaliser coming very late in the game. Nick Rendall gave Star the lead on 75 minutes, with Kyle Bell’s equaliser coming seven minutes into time added.
