In an extraordin­ary South Challenge Cup tie at INVERKEITH­ING, Tiwi Daramola scored a double hat-trick in BO’NESS ATHLETIC’S 6-3 win over the Swifts. Daramola grabbed a hat-trick in the first half and netted another three after the break. Johnny Dow, Campbell Dowie and Greig Spence were the home scorers.

LOCHAR THISTLE took their chances in Perth and were 2-1 winners over JEANFIELD SWIFTS. Shaun Struthers gave the Perth outfit the lead on the half-hour mark but it only lasted five minutes when Kyle Braid grabbed an equaliser. Adam Jamieson then clinched Lochar’s place in the fourth round with the winner on 65 minutes.

EDINBURGH SOUTH were given a lesson by ST CADOC, who strolled through following their 5-0 win.

After a goalless first half GARTCAIRN took the lead against DUNBAR through Reagan Aitken two minutes into the second half. The lead was short lived with Dean Whitson equalising on 55 minutes. But Gartcairn finished strongly with Scott Stevenson regaining the lead then Adam Boyle made sure with a third.

NEWTONGRAN­GE edged out STONEYBURN 5-3 after extra time. It was 2-2 after 90 minutes

with the home side netting twice in the opening three minutes through Dean Ballantyne and Chris Robertson. Stoneyburn missed a penalty but fought back with goals from Cammy Donaldson and Dean Mcconnell. Robertson went on to score another two to complete his hattrick for the hosts in extra time with Logan Imrie also on target.

DUNIPACE and TYNECASTLE were also forced into extra time after their tie ended 1-1. Tynecastle went ahead through a Johnston goal with 15 minutes to go but Dunipace levelled two minutes later then they grabbed a 2-1 win in extra time.
