- By Alan Campbell SPORT@SUNDAYPOST.COM

Celtic keeper Pamela Tajoner earned her side a point with several crucial saves in the goalless draw with Rangers at Broadwood.

The stalemate,in front of a crowd of 3,328, means Rangers stay top, one point ahead of their oldest rivals – but both will be overtaken if Glasgow City beat Partick Thistle today.

There was very little goalmouth action in a dull opening 30 minutes, with Celtic just edging it.

Rangers finished the half stronger and came close to scoring twice in the final 10 minutes.

Sam Kerr cut the ball back, but Chloe Craig prevented a certain Jenny Danielsson goal.

Six minutes from half-time Rangers captain Nicola Docherty picked fired in a superb 35-yard left-foot shot.

Former Barcelona keeper Tajoner tipped the ball over the bar to keep the score level.

The Mexican again saved her side a minute into the second half, this time denying Kerr.

With Rangers dominating Tajoner was again to the rescue, this time diving to her right to deny Chelsea Cornet.

The keeper was finally beaten just after the hour, but Tess Middag’s free kick from 20 yards hit the bar to deny Rangers the lead.

The Dutch midfielder was again on the money with another free kick, but with the goal at her mercy, Hannah Davison directed a header wide of the target.

With eight minutes remaining it was Tajoner to Celtic’s rescue again – this time with a double save from sub Kirsty Howat and Middag.

With seven minutes of time added on, Celtic nearly stole the win. Sub Amy Gallacher’s corner was headed down by Caitlin Hayes, but this time it was Rangers keeper Vic Esson who pulled off a great save.
