Be warned, these sweet treats from Lush smell good enough to eat

-

In our new exclusive column, we try out and spill the truth on all the latest trends and must-haves. This week, Lauren Robertson dives into Lush. Lush products are available at Lush stores and at lush.com

When I heard that products that smell like the sweetest treats were all the rage, you had best believe I wanted to get involved.

I know that kind of thing isn’t for everyone, and as I have got older I am definitely more picky with what scents I like, but my curiosity took over. Lush has a special place in my heart – I used to spend all my pocket money there when I was a teenager – so I was thrilled to see they had a huge range of products that fit the bill.

Supermilk Conditioning Spray

A triple whammy of conditioning almond, coconut, and oat milks means this leaves a really lovely scent on your hair without being overpowering. I have been spraying this through my wet hair before drying it and it has meant it dries a lot smoother, plus the ends of my hair have felt so much less dry than usual. I also sprayed it through dry hair before scraping it back into a bun on a work-from-home day and when I washed it out in the evening, my hair was silky smooth and smelling divine.

Let The Good Times Roll Body Spray

I sprayed this in my living room to test it and I could smell it for days – thankfully the smell is amazing. It is described as freshly baked brioche bread and I completely get that, but it’s a lot nicer than walking around smelling like a bread roll. My sister has sworn by Lush’s body sprays for years and I am very glad to finally be in on the hype. At £25 I’d say it’s very affordable for 200ml as a little goes a long way, and stays there.

Yummy Custard Body Wash

This was my favourite of the products I tried. I hadn’t seen a body wash this consistency before, like a thick body butter, but it lathers up gorgeously in the shower. A lot of body washes feel as if they slide off your body as soon as you put them on, but the thickness of this means you can really work it into your skin. I noticed my skin feeling so much more moisturised and the scent is like the most luxurious vanilla custard – I can’t help but take a big whiff every time I wash.
