TRAINING DAY

CLYDE boss Barry Ferguson (below) is taking his squad for a five-day pre-season training camp to the Channel Islands later this month and will host an open training session on Saturday, June 25 for any holidaying fans who wish to pop in.

MAKING A PITCH

STIRLING ALBION face a race to have their newly-sown Forthbank pitch ready for the visit of Falkirk in the opening game of the season on July 16. The sides meet in the Betfred Cup with the Binos having their request to either be away from home or to have a free weekend ignored by the SPFL.

FIRING BLANKS

FALKIRK are again running their No Nil-nils campaign for season ticket holders, which allows them to bring a friend for free to the next league game if a Championship fixture finishes goalless. The Bairns introduced the offer for season 2014-15.

TOP CHOICE

OVER 1,100 Morton fans took part in a vote to choose the club’s home kit for the new season. The launch of an Ajaxstyle top went down badly with the Cappielow faithful so the club quickly came up with five new designs and a strip that involves blue and white hoops with a pin-stripe running through was chosen by fans.

STARLET SUCCESS

QUEEN’S PARK’S Under-17 side have stopped a clean sheet of league titles for Celtic by winning the SPFL Development League West ahead of the Parkhead club’s Under-16s.

HELP AT HAND
