SHAUN MILLER’S first league goal of the season handed Carlisle a 1-0 win over struggling Wycombe as they maintained their unbeaten start.

Both sides were struggling for fluency, but Carlisle broke the deadlock in the 57th minute when Danny Grainger sent Miller clear and the striker cut in from the left to dink his shot home from 15 yards.

Morecambe crashed to a fourth successive home defeat as they lost 3-2 to Crawley, with Adi Yussuf the star of the show for the Red Devils.

Yussuf broke the deadlock just seconds after coming off the bench with a cool finish and then turned provider seven minutes from time when he teed up James Collins to double the Reds’ advantage.

The Shrimps pulled one back two minutes from time when Michael Rose curled a superb free-kick around the wall from 20 yards out, but the visitors restored their two-goal lead when Yussuf set up Jim Smith to stroke the ball home.

Morecambe scored a second two minutes into injury time when Cole Stockton volleyed superbly past Morris from the edge of the area.

Jake Jervis netted an 84th-minute penalty as Plymouth denied Hartlepool a win on their mammoth trek down to Home Park.

Nathan Thomas had fired Pools ahead in the first half, before boss Craig Hignett was sent to the stands after Jervis’ goal.

He was followed by defender Scott Harrison, shown a second yellow in injury-time.

Ryan Lowe denied Blackpool a sixth straight win over Crewe when he headed home in the 71st minute.

Blackpool had taken a 10th-minute through goalkeeper Jon Guthrie’s own-goal.
