10 smiles of The week

-

berry good

So Mary Berry is to leave Bake Off when it changes channels out of “loyalty” to the Beeb. Sad to see her go, but her principles have to be applauded.

high five!

One of the iN10 team came into work with a smile on her face. She’d found a forgotten fiver in a trouser pocket. Sometimes it’s the little things in life . . .

cashing in

Speaking of fivers, new £5 notes which carry the portrait of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill are selling on eBay for as much as £200. Yes, we are furiously checking our purses . . .

mane attraction

The giant Kelpies sculptures near Falkirk have won a prize at the inaugural World Canals Awards. Well deserved – the result was in “neigh” doubt!

heads up

A surgeon who wants to carry out the first head transplant says it could take place as early as next year. Does anyone have his number? We could do with one most Monday mornings.

monster marathon

It’s the Loch Ness Marathon today. Hopefully Nessie makes an appearance – there’ll be some record breaking times if she does!

caffeine craze

It’s National Coffee Day on Thursday. Expect a lot of VERY wide-awake people dashing around that day.

Tee Time

It’s Ryder Cup time again, which will put a smile on golf fans’ faces. Everyone else may be feeling a little rough.

cut off

Autumn is here, which means one thing that makes us happy – it’s the last lawn cut of the year! Hooray!

have a heart

If you haven’t got any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble.
