Gordon breaks silence on miscarriage pain

-

SCOTS super chef Gordon Ramsay has spoken for the first time about his wife Tana’s miscarriage during the summer.

Speaking in an interview yesterday, the 49- year- old father- of- four revealed he had been overwhelmed by the support the couple had received and admitted the devastating loss had brought the family closer together.

He said: “The support we’ ve had has been unbelievable.

“You don’t realise until it happens to you how many people are affected.

“Sadly it happens every day.”

The fiery chef jubilantly announced he and wife Tana, 42, were expecting their fifth child on The Late Late Show in the US – telling host, Brit James Corden: “We have three girls and a boy... and one more on the way!”

However, five months into the pregnancy, his wife was taken into hospital, where they were left griefstricken upon discovering she had lost the child.

Already father to Megan, 18, twins Holly and Jack, 16, and Tilly ,14, the Michelin- star chef said the family were now more appreciative of what they had in life.

“It has brought us all so much closer,” he added.

“You realise how lucky you are and you reflect on what you have, how fortunate you are with your remaining children and you remind yourself of what you’ve got.
