The ram who thinks he is a unicorn
SINCE the national animal of Scotland is the unicorn, we hoped if there was ever a sighting of the mythical creature, it would be here.
Instead, one has been found by a farming family in Iceland – sort of.
Erla Porey Olafsdottir breeds sheep but he’s never had a ram like the one he’s named Einhyringur (which means unicorn in Icelandic).
You see, instead of two horns, Einhyringur has just one, which forks a little at the end.
Due to the horn, his face is stretched and he constantly looks surprised – probably not as much as those who see him on the hills, though.
His owners planned to only let him live until next spring, but he might now find a new life at Reykjavik Zoo thanks to his unusual look.
See, it does pay to stand out from the crowd.
