Rosenborg call in their secret agent

- By Mark Walker sport@sundaypost.com

ROSENBORG plan to use a secret weapon when they play Celtic.

They will get information from ex- Hoops star, Stefan Johansen.

The Scottish champions welcome the Norwegians to Parkhead on Wednesday for a crucial Champions League qualifier first leg.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are huge favourites to go through, but the Trondheim outfit are quietly confident of springing an upset.

And Norway international Anders Konradsen has revealed he will seek out info from his international colleague Johansen.

The Fulham midfielder spent three seasons in Glasgow and won three titles and a League Cup.

And he can expect a phone call soon from his countryman.

Konradsen said: “I’ll be calling Stefan Johansen and seeing if he has any tips for us Celtic have a lot of experience. Like us, their goal is to reach the group stages of the Champions League.

“They have a very good manager in Brendan Rodgers, and an experienced team.

“We are underdogs, but I think that will work to our advantage.

“We know it will be a difficult match at Celtic Park, but don’t forget we are very good at home too.

“We had a big crowd at the Lerkendal Stadion to see us get past Dundalk in the last round, and there will be even more against Celtic. I expect the stadium to be full.

“Dundalk were a really good opponent, who had done well in the Europa League last season.

“But we had control of the game and, although they made it difficult for us, we deserved to go through.

“They got tired and that gave us an advantage.

“So now we can’t wait to play Celtic.”
