CA LE Y boss John Robertson warned he would instigate a clearout if the hangover from Premiership relegation continued.

Goals from Joe McKee and Nathan Austin rewarded Falkirk’s firsthalf dominance as they climbed a point above their Championship rivals with a game in hand.

But Robertson, while acknowledging a big “transition” was under way at the club, warned he wouldn’t tolerate players lacking in the right attitude.

“I spoke to the boys at half-time about the basics – hard work, passion, desire and belief. Apart from the first 15 minutes, that was lacking ,” Robertson said.

The Bairns were ahead after 21 minutes. Alex Harris hit the bye-line on the right and his deflected cross found Joe McKee striking the net from eight yards.

The only notable Caley Thistle chance of the first half came three minutes before the break with John Baird’s downward header grasped by keeper Robbie Thomson.

A minute later, Loy picked up a sliced clearance from Ridgers and found Austin, who curled a superb left- foot shot into the corner of the net.

Collin Seedorf strived to lift Caley’s fortunes in the second period among some better individual performances, but the improvement went unrewarded.
