VICTORIA What’s the story? We pick things up just six weeks after the last series with the Queen as a new mum. Who’s in it? Line of Duty’s Martin Compston guest stars with Call The Midwife’s Emerald Fennell. Jenna Coleman is the Queen once more with Tom Hughes as Prince Albert. When’s it on? Tonight, 9.05pm, ITV.

STRIKE – the CUCKOO’S CALLING What’s the story? The BBC will be hoping a bit of JK Rowling’s magic rubs off on this, the first adaptation of her Cormoran Strike novels. Who’s in it? Former Musketeer Tom Burke is Strike with Holliday Grainger as assistant Robin. When’s it on? Tonight, 9.05pm, BBC1.

COLD Feet What’s the story? The return last year was a smash hit. Now after Pete’s depression, we’ll see his missus Jenny looking for adventure. Who’s in it? James Nesbitt, John Thomson, Fay Ripley, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst. When’s it on? Friday nights from September 8.

DOCTOR FOSTER What’s the story? After revealing her husband’s affair, GP Gemma Foster’s marriage is over. Now we’re two years on... Who’s in it? Suranne Jones, who’s now a mum herself, is the single mum doc with Bertie Carvel as her shifty husband. When’s it on? Mid-September on BBC1.

STRICTLY COME DANCING What’s the story? The usual Saturday night fun. Who’s in it? The gang’s all here – minus Len. Shirley Ballas will be in the head judge’s chair. Tess and Claudia introduce 15 new celebs – including Joe McFadden and Susan Calman. When’s it on? The launch show is Saturday, September 9 on BBC1.
