IN-FORM Sean Longstaff scored for the fourth successive match to help Blackpool squeeze past 10-man AFC Wimbledon 1-0 at Bloomfield Road.

Longstaff jinked past three defenders before firing low into the bottom corner in the 52nd minute as the Tangerines maintained their 100 per cent home record.

The visitors had a man sent off just over a minute later when Nadjim Abdo was shown a straight red for a two-footed lunge on Callum Cooke.

Oldham remain pointless after being edged out by Charlton in an action-packed sevengoal thriller.

The Latics fell two behind after 21 minutes, through Ricky Holmes’ 30-yarder and Tarique Fosu’s cool finish, before Craig Davies pulled one back from the spot after he was fouled by Patrick Bauer.

Early in the secondhalf, new signing Eoin Doyle restored parity from 12 yards, but three minutes later Oldham had Ousmane Dane sent off for a second booking.

The visitors capitalised on the one-man advantage, re-taking the lead through Billy Clarke, before debutant Joe Dodoo made it 4-2 10 minutes later.

Jack Byrne, though, hit back for Oldham, but despite some late pressure they couldn’t find an equaliser, with Charlton having three players booked in injury time, such was their desperation at keeping Athletic out.

Rochdale had skipper Ian Henderson sent off as they shared the points in a goalless draw at Southend.

Meanwhile, Peterborough’s 100 per cent run was halted in a 0-0 stalemate at Doncaster, while surprise packages Shrewsbury moved into second spot thanks to a 2-1 success at Gillingham.
