Singer calls for ac­tion on con­di­tion

Belle and Se­bas­tian lead singer Stu­art Mur­doch has called on peo­ple with ME to make a noise about the con­di­tion.

The in­die mu­sic icon is one of at least 20,000 Scots liv­ing with myal­gic en­cephalomyeli­tis (ME).

He is lead­ing the cam­paign for bet­ter re­search into the dis­ease, of­ten known as chronic fa­tigue syn­drome.

A rally in Ed­in­burgh will call for more ac­tion to tackle the im­pact of the lit­tle­un­der­stood con­di­tion.

ME is a neuro-im­mune dis­ease which causes dis­abling ill-health.

The event is one of more than 60 be­ing held across the world call­ing for more re­search and bet­ter ed­u­ca­tion for health­care pro­fes­sion­als.
