Nuclear site to be dismantled
North Korea is to begin dismantling its nuclear test sure within the next two weeks, according to state media.
A ceremony to mark the destruction of the site will take place between May 23 and 25 with the Korean Central News Agency reporting that foreign journalists including those from the UK and Russia will be invited to observe.
Tunnels at the testing ground in the northeast of the country will be destroyed by explosion, with observation and research facilities also to be removed, along with ground-based guard units.
Kim Jong-un announced plans to shut the site before his historic summit with South Korean leader Moon Jae-in last month.
