My my! Strictly’s Vick takes PM’s tips

-

Strictly contestant Vick Hope reckons her dance last night was only the second most talked-about Abba routine of the week.

The DJ and presenter took to the dance floor for the show’s Movie Week with a salsa to Take A Chance On Me from Mamma Mia!

But Theresa May had already had her big moment, shimmying on to the Tory Party conference stage to Dancing Queen.

“She’s giving us a bit of competition,” said Vick, 29, who hosts the Breakfast Show on Capital.

“She tweeted us asking if we needed any tips and I feel like she’s trying to get involved now she’s doing an Abba song as well.”

But Vick’s pro partner Graziano Di Prima says the PM has some way to go.

“She was a bit like a robot and could be freer.” There are no Scots in this year’s line-up but Geordie lass Vick would welcome backing north of the border.

“I feel like an honorary Scot,” said Vick. “My brothers went to Glasgow University. We go to Glasgow all the time and camped on holiday in Ayr every year.”

Last night saw Katie Piper try to conquer her nerves with a foxtrot to City of Stars from La La Land and Steps star Faye Tozer do a quickstep to You’re The One That I Want from Grease.

A second celeb will be voted out during tonight’s results show, BBC1, 7.45pm.
