Accrington Stanley moved into the play-off places with a 3-1 win over Bradford City. Billy Kee slotted home a penalty after 39 minutes, in-form Offrande Zanzala fired home a for his fourth goal in as many games, while Sean McConville finished off the scoring. Bradford, who had Eoin Doyle on the scoresheet, have now lost 10 of their 14 league games and remain in the relegation spots. Goals from Paddy Madden and Wes Burns were enough for Fleetwood to see off Shrewsbury 2-1, despite Josh Laurent pulling one back. Barnsley climbed to third with a 3-2 victory over Luton Town. Brad Potts opened the scoring after the fifth minute, before Cameron McGeehan increased the home side’s lead after good work from George Moncur. Luton reduced the arrears in time added on at the end of the first half when James Collins scored from the penalty spot. Substitute Mamadou Thiam restored Barnsley’s two-goal cushion, before Collins scored his second of the afternoon, but Barnsley held on. Doncaster ended a run of two straight defeats after picking up a 3-2 victory away from home against Rochdale. Goals from Ali Crawford, Andy Butler and Jermaine Anderson earned Doncaster the win at the Crown Oil Arena, despite second-half Rochdale goals from Ian Henderson and Kgosi Ntlhe. Peterborou­gh striker Matt Godden returned to haunt former club Scunthorpe as his second-half double earned his side a 2-0 win at Glanford Park. Simon Cox bagged a brace in Southen’s 2-0 victory over mediocre Gillingham, while Oxford beat Plymouth 2-0 in the battle of the bottom two.
