Did anyone meet granny?

-

Dear June

My dear 96-year-old grandmother passed away last year.

She was admitted to hospital with a bleed on the brain which then developed into aspiration pneumonia.

When she did pass away in hospital, she was alone without us.

Was there anyone there to meet her?

She was the centre of our family and we all think of her daily.

Sarah, Kirkcaldy.

It is always so very sad when an elderly matriarch of the family passes away.

They have been around as a valued family member throughout our lives, so we cannot imagine life without them.

Your family will find it extremely hard to carry on without your grandmother but she will be around you all, giving you unseen love and guidance, just as she always did.

I get the impression, as I read your email, that she was young at heart and had a great sense of humour.

There would have been someone she loved there with her waiting to accompany her home.

She would have also known they were there with her before she passed.

I sense that she was met by her mother as there was a very close bond with them but I also feel that there was something that lacked closure between them before her mother passed.

That matter will now most certainly be settled.

Dear June

Whilst pregnant with my son David, both my grandmother and father-inlaw died.

A few weeks later I had a dream that I went to a large house with David in his pram and my father-in-law held him and said he was “a wee belter.”

My gran held him and said he was “beautiful”.

Do you think they really met him?

I didn’t see all my family but I hope they are together.

Margaret, Glasgow.

June Says

What a wonderful vision you were blessed with. I don’t believe it was merely a dream, but more of a visitation from your loved ones to let you know they were proud of you and would continue to look over you all from the spirit side.

It take a lot of energy for a visitation to take place so you did not manage to see all of your family as the energy was limited but I can assure you they would have all been there!

They were letting you know they had been there beside you to see David after he was born.
