Henderson’s howler makes the difference

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side won 1-0 at promotion rivals Sheffield United as goalkeeper Dean Henderson’s costly mistake resulted in Pablo Hernandez netting the winner in the 82nd minute.

Henderson passed straight to Jack Clarke, who found Hernandez in front of an open goal.

Danny Graham celebrated his 100th league start for Blackburn with a hat-trick as they brushed aside Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 at Ewood Park.

The striker hammered home his first from a rebound before Bradley Dack’s 11th goal of the season. Lucas Joao’s thunderbol­t pegged the hosts back, before Graham got his second of the afternoon.

An unfortunat­e David Raya own goal promised a nervy finish, but Graham’s eighth of the season completed his hat-trick.

Harry Wilson added to his collection of spectacula­r strikes as Derby beat Swansea 2-1 at Pride Park.

The Wales internatio­nal put Derby ahead with a stunning 25-yard shot before adding his eighth of the season to become the club’s top-scorer. Fikayo Tomori scored an own goal late on.

Norwich produced an excellent second-half performanc­e to see off Rotherham 3-1 at Carrow Road and move back to the top of the table.

Richie Towell gave the Millers a first-half lead, but Norwich took complete control after the interval with homegrown youngsters Todd Cantwell and Max Aarons scoring their first senior goals for the club and Teemu Pukki making it 12 for the season.

Jarrod Bowen scored twice for Hull as they won 3-2 at QPR. Bowen and Markus Henriksen netted before Pawel Wszolek pulled a goal back for Rangers. Bowen then effectivel­y sealed the victory, with Luke Freeman reducing the deficit in injury time.

Preston goalkeeper Declan Rudd helped to hand Birmingham a 3-0 victory, completely missing Maikel Kieftenbel­d’s hopeful punt into the area and watched in horror as the ball rolled between his legs and into the net to hand Birmingham a 46th minute lead.

Jacques Maghoma then made the game safe for Birmingham in the 61st minute, before Che Adams added a third 13 minutes from time.

Wigan grabbed a 1-1 draw at neighbours Bolton. Will Buckley put the home side ahead in the seventh minute before Will Grigg’s first-half penalty equaliser.

Stoke drew 2-2 at Reading. Marc McNulty nodded in the opener from close range, with Benik Afobe guiding home a 48th-minute equaliser.

Tom Ince gave Stoke the lead in the 69th minute, but Mo Barrow levelled deep into stoppage time.

Lewis Grabban maintained his searing hot form by scoring both goals as Nottingham Forest continued their promotion push with a 2-0 win over Ipswich.
