Beth is desperate to help her niece and finds a clinic in Germany – but the cost is prohibitive. She notes the combination on the factory safe and suggests Chesney could stage a mugging, claiming he was robbed.

Beth gives the cash to Sinead, but Dev smells a rat.

Brian is pushed to the edge by Phil’s demands. Due to overwork and stress he faints at school, but insists that he’s fine.

Nick and Imran move into the flat, Robert is caught between two women and Rita learns Archie has died. Maggie turns to Lenny for support and he tells Caitlin her mother has to move back into the Tall Ship.

Later, Maggie doubles up in pain and realises her relapse could prove fatal.

With Ellie and Caitlin by her side, Maggie heads to an AA meeting but she’s derailed when Caitlin finds a bottle of vodka in her jacket.

Disgusted, Caitlin rejects Maggie.

Ellie stands by her mum at the AA meeting, while Caitlin makes a big decision.

Gabriel is shocked by Suzie’s accusation that Callum vandalised the panto set and Nicole manipulates Angus into giving her a job at the Big Mug.
