The 1975 have lost the ambient indie rock vibe of their first album, shed the over-the-top pop sound of their second, and left something new in the embers.

While the heavily atmospheric mash-up of pop and indie does remain, with vibrant earworms such as Too Time, it is evident their sound has altered.

This is very electro compared to previous offerings, and the saxophone has been replaced by smooth jazz.
