Ultimate is unashamedly weaponised nostalgia. The roster of beloved video game faces (Kirby, Dr. Mario, Samus, Solid Snake), plus the option for eight-player fisticuffs, makes for perfect post-pub multiplayer fodder – though online play suffers irritating moments of lag.

As a dose of simplistic, button-mashing hilarity, there are few better.
