Kathleen died along with her husband Thomas and 10-year-old daughter Joanne that night. Incredibly, her 14-year-old son Steven was out of the house taking his little sister’s bike to a neighbour’s house. All that remained of the family was one of Joanne’s pink plastic watering cans. Steven tragically died 12 years later.
