Norwich City moved top of the Championship after Teemu Pukki’s late winner gave them a 1-0 win at Blackburn Rovers.

Dwight Gayle fired a hat-trick as West Brom continued their promotion charge with a 4-0 rout of lowly Rotherham.

Gayle scored twice in the first half as the Baggies had the game sewn up by the break, with Harvey Barnes also finding the net. The former Newcastle striker completed his first Albion hat-trick after the break.

Jarrod Bowen overcame the disappointment of a missed penalty to score twice as Hull beat Swansea 3-2 in the late game.

Tommy Elphick was also on target, with Wilfried Bony and Bersant Celina netting for the Swans.

Aston Villa trio Henri Lansbury, Birkir Bjarnason and Albert Adomah could all return to face Leeds today after returning from injury, while they will be boosted in January by the arrival of Croatia international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic.
