New dad shows bravery
Travis Trent’s day started with him celebrating a new life – and ended with him potentially saving countless more.
He’d been at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Washington for the birth of his son when he too became a Good Samaritan.
Travis was in the car park when he saw smoke coming from his dashboard. Rather than abandon the car, he thought about the damage that could be done to the hospital and the surrounding vehicles should his car blow up, so he bravely drove it from the medical facility and parked it at a safe distance. The car was destroyed in the ensuing blaze. Commended for his bravery, Trent was rewarded when a local car dealership replaced his car with a like-for-like model last week.
