As his dog stared at me, drooling copiously, my pal said there was a word to describe what the pooch was up to, but he couldn’t remember what it was – can you? – P.
I believe the dog was groaking, although we can all have a bit of a groak now and again.
Groak means to gaze longingly at someone as they eat, hoping they will share.
I do it when anyone has a Jaffa Cake!
