Beauty its MASK PARADE

-

They have been a staple in Korean beauty routines for decades, but only in the last few years have sheet masks taken the UK by storm. Holding serums, creams and products against the skin for better results, the masks can hyrdate, rejuvenate and revitalise your skin. We tested out five big-name brands to see if sheet masks are worth the hype.

Starskin VIP, Luxury Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Face Mask – The Gold Mask, £12.50

A bit fidgety and messy, but smells amazing. Almost moulds on to the face. Starskin promises a movie-star complexion and we certainly feel like a celeb after taking this one off. 5/5

MasqueBAR, Charcoal Sheet Mask, £9.99

Easy to apply, comfortable to wear and not too much liquid. Peels off effortlessly leaving skin lovely and smooth, almost on par with having a facial. 4/5

Image Skincare, Biomolecular Hydrating Recovery Mask, £9

This sheet mask has ingredients derived from red algae and carob tree, and promises to hydrate your skin without creating a drying barrier. Our skin felt soothed and refreshed after just one use, and it created a dewy glow. 5/5

Laboratoires Filorga Time-filler Mask, £10

We loved the look and smell of this mask, and it left our skin feeling perfectly soft. It’s great for slipping on before a night on the tiles, as it made our face feel tight and plump. 4/5

Skin Republic Brightening Vitamin C Sheet Mask,£4.99

Just don’t answer the door with this one on...it looks a bit scary! Feels like there’s too much liquid, very wet on face. But once you’ve taken the mask off and rubbed in all the serum, skin feels glowing. 4/5
