KILWINNING RANGERS top the McBookie.com Premiershi­p table by four points after a 1-0 win at POLLOK. Carlo Monti was the match-winner when he curled a 22-yard free-kick high into the net midway through the second half.

Second-placed IRVINE MEADOW defeated visitors BENBURB 4-3 thanks to Reece Peason’s penalty. Ryan McCrone’s penalty put the Bens ahead, however goals from Andy Mclaughlin, Brendan Sharpe and Colin Spence had Meadow leading 3-1 at the break. Kiran McAllister’s strike and a second penalty from McCrone tied the score before Pearson struck.

BEITH and KILBIRNIE LADESIDE drew 3-3 at Bellsdale, where the Blasties led through David Waite and David Ramsay goals before Kevin Green pulled a goal back before half-time. Jamie Longworth hit a third for the Blasties, but Darren Christie and Ryan Docherty restored parity before team-mate Paul Frize was dismissed.

AUCHINLECK TALBOT saw off CLYDEBANK 3-0 at Beechwood, with Gordon Pope scoring before the interval. Bryan Boylan as well as Jamie Glasgow netted late.

Bottom side KIRKINTILL­OCH ROB ROY went down 2-0 at LARGS THISTLE, with Adam Scott netting from the penalty spot early in the second half and Will Sewell wrapping things up.

ROSSVALE enjoyed a 1-0 home success over TROON, with Derek

McNab grabbing the game’s only goal 15 minutes from time.

Dale Simeon opened and closed the scoring as RUTHERGLEN GLENCAIRN drew 2-2 with visitors CUMNOCK. Alan Murdoch cancelled out Simeon’s opener just after the break, with Iain Anderson putting Cumnock ahead.

GLENAFTON enjoyed a 2-1 Macron Scottish Junior Cup triumph over BANKS O’ DEE. The Aberdeen side led at the break thanks to a goal from Kane Winton, with Joe Andrew and Dan Orsi turning things around before Glen’s David Wilson saved a last-gasp Stuart Duff penalty.

HURLFORD defeated SHOTTS BON ACCORD 3-1 in their replay, with Chris Robertson and Lewis Morrison putting the Ayrshire side in control and Jack Whittaker wrapping things up after Jordon Love pulled a goal back.

LOCHEE UNITED are through following a 3-1 win over HERMES, with the big turning point coming on half-an-hour when Hermes were reduced to te10n men. Up to then, they looked the more composed side and led through a Connor Hunter goal in 20 minutes. They had Dave Stevenson sent off for simulation in 30 minutes and Lochee took advantage when Alan Tulleth equalised in 35 minutes. The Bluebells took control after the break, with Danny Cavanagh giving them the lead in 63 minutes, then, just to make sure, substitute Reece Ritchie added a third in late on.
