November is a wonderful eclectic month in the city. Join the locals sitting outside the pavement cafes, under blankets and heating lamps, while the Christmas markets mark the transition into winter as they start to open all over town – filling the streets with twinkling lights and hygge. From now until February the ARKEN Museum of Modern Art is showing a Pablo Picasso’s best works in the exhibition Beloved By Picasso, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints.
It’s known for it’s Michelin star restaurants, but Copenhagan is also a foodie-friendly destination for budget travellers. Try Copenhagen’s most hyped burger joint, Gasoline Grill. This former gas station made it into Bloomberg’s top 27 best burgers in the world. Open 11am till sold out. For seafood head to Hooked. Here, you can indulge in a seriously good lobster roll, fish burgers, fish and chips. It’s the perfect first stop on a fun night out to the surrounding bars and clubs in Nørrebro’s buzzing nightlife.
