Meet the Instagran Devoted sisters

-

Sadie Costell, 63, has three children, and four grandsons, with one more on the way. She also owns a busy hairdressing and beauty salon, Ginger’s Hair and Beauty, in the village of Chapelhall, North Lanarkshire, so when she’s not looking after her grandsons, she’s styling, working, and enjoying her lifetime’s work.

This is me and my wee sister Anna. She’s an author and, when she’s not writing her crime novels, she helps me with the kids. They love their “grauntie”. This photo of us enjoying a rather large gin‘n’tonic was taken on the beach in the Costa del Sol. We’re going again in October, my Christmas present to her.

Room for one more? Of course!

It’s great to watch the children enjoy themselves and grow. I have another two grandsons – Cillian, eight months, and Max, who just arrived six weeks ago (pictured here). Max is a new brother for Jude and he’s excited to have a baby in the house. With another grandchild on the way, it doesn’t look like I’ll be ready for retirement any time soon but I wouldn’t change a thing!

Laughter all the way through life

Every day is an adventure when you’re a granny of four! It’s all about making life one big adventure for my two grandsons Jude, four, and Ruair, three, whom I look after three days a week.

When I’m with them I soon forget I’m not as young as I was. The boys especially love seeing their old gran jumping on the zip wire down at Heritage Park, Coatbridge – one of our favourite haunts to entertain the kids.

My terrific two

Whether we’re hunting for dinosaurs, swinging from trees, or playing hide and seek in the house, it’s laugh-a-minute with these two. Here they are on a recent trip to the toy shop. Ruairi (pictured right) looks like butter wouldn’t melt, but he is full of mischief. He adores his big cousin Jude, and they’re up and ready to roll with gran by 8am every morning!
