One winner scoops £122m lotto jackpot
A claim has been staked for the
£122 million EuroMillions jackpot won on Friday by a single UK ticket-holder.
The player matched all five EuroMillions numbers as well as the two Lucky Stars to win £122,550,350.80.
Camelot said the claim will now go through the process of validation.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “What an Easter weekend for one lucky player.
“They have become the fifth-biggest winner in UK National Lottery history and have a fortune that can make their dreams come true.
“We will now look to support the ticket-holder through the process and help them to start to enjoy their life-changing win.”
The winning numbers are 4, 21, 34, 40, 47, and the Lucky Stars are 2 and 5.
The UK’s biggest lottery prize so far was a £170.2m EuroMillions jackpot won on October 8, 2019. The winner was never revealed.
It eclipsed the previous British record, set in July 2011, when North Ayrshire couple Colin and Chris Weir won £161.6m.
A year later, in 2012, Dundee hospital cleaner Gillian Bayford scooped £148m in the EuroMillions draw with her then husband Adrian.
