Salmond: Yes again
Alex Salmond has described his Alba Party as the
Yes Scotland campaign “reborn in political form” and claimed list votes for the SNP in the Holyrood election are the “ultimate wasted votes”.
The former first minister addressed Alba’s first online candidates’ conference yesterday, where he said independence supporters who backed the SNP on the list vote were guilty of “ridiculous posturing”.
He said the independence cause had never been the “sole preserve” of the SNP and the 2014 Yes campaign “most resembles our new party”.
