£30k for 007 poster

A rare 1965 cinema poster set for the James Bond film Thunderball, starring Scots 007 Sean Connery, has fetched more than £30,000 at auction in London.

The 56-year-old poster advertised the fourth spy film in the Bond series ahead of its release in the United States.

The first three panels show Bond girls under the headings: “Look Up! Look Down! Look Out!” The fourth features Connery in diving gear, under the words: “Here comes the biggest Bond of all!”
