E-BIKE FACTS

• An e-bike uses a battery to boost the power when pedalling and can last more than 80 miles.

• It re-charges in about three hours, by connecting to household plug sockets.

• The boost adds 50-300% to th pedal power.

• They are legally limited to 15.5mph at which point the battery cuts out. You can go faster but have to use your own pedal power.

• By law, you must be over 14 to ride one on the road.
